There is always something to see or do in Lake Placid, special events, fishing tournaments & even street parties! Annually, we have our Country Fair, Car Show and Caladium Festival. Enjoy a historically good time at the Depot Museum which is the home of the red caboose and local history artifacts displayed by the Lake Placid Historical Society.

29th Annual Caladium Festival

Lake Placid, Florida and surrounding Highlands County is blessed with natural beauty, rich soil, and energetic and creatively talented people. We expanded our popular Caladium Festival to include other interesting and significant aspects of our economy, heritage, and culture. Please make plans to join us!

The 67th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring takes place on Saturday, March 16th. Gates open Wednesday, March 13, 2019 and remain open 24 hours a day through Saturday.
