Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Miss Lake Placid Scholarship Pageant! Here, you will find important information, pageant rules, and details to participate. Please keep in mind that information IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE to accommodate the Lake Placid Chamber schedule of events and/or emergencies.
PLEASE follow the pageant Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up with information. Our objective is to represent the community of Lake Placid in and around Highlands and surrounding counties. By signing below, I confirm and attest that I am/my daughter is a full-time resident of Lake Placid FL, that she falls within the guidelines for the Miss Lake Placid pageant, that I/she carries grades equivalent to a 2.5 GPA, and that I/she will be available to meet all schedule requirements that fall within practice times. She/I understand that practices will be CLOSED to anyone outside of pageant participation. I confirm that I have read, received, and will adhere to the pageant dress code, pageant behavior expectations, and monetary obligations for me/my daughter to compete. I also understand that at any time during the competition, I/my daughter could be disqualified to compete if we are being uncooperative with said rules and expectations. I understand that Deadline Dates are just that, and I will have all the information and money turned in by the given deadline dates. Should an emergency arise, I will contact the pageant directors as soon as possible.
** In consideration of mutual benefits, I have read and agree to abide by the rules established by the pageant committee. Further, I release The Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and the Genesis Center or any venue of the Pageant Committee’s choosing and all their employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers from any liability, accident, injury, damage, or claim to arise out of or relating to my participation in the Miss Lake Placid Pageant.

Reigning Miss Rules and Agreement

I _______certify that all the below statements are true and that I will adhere to all listed rules:

I have and will maintain a (2.5) grade point average for the entirety of my reign.

I have good moral conduct in school and my community.

I will maintain age-appropriate social media pages; my posts will be free of nude or semi-nude images, (this can include summer bikini/outfit pics if the posting appears inappropriate), foul language, illegal activities, or bullying of any kind. I will be 'friends' with the pageant's social media pages, and should the director ask me to take down a post deemed as inappropriate, I will comply.

I will provide proper attire for all events. I understand that attire must be pre-approved by the director(s). You agree to NO facial piercings, visible tattoos, or drastic hair color/style changes during your reign.

I understand that most events are planned and coordinated by the director(s). I will help to coordinate events should the opportunity arise. Unless otherwise stated, I will not represent my title or attend events without the director(s).

I understand I will be required to attend a minimum of THREE appearances per month, as well as provide at least ONE social media post per week.

I understand that I may not participate in any other pageant until I have given up my title in March 2026. I understand that should I choose to run for another title I will forfeit my Miss Lake Placid Crown & Title. This does not apply to runners-up.

I understand that failure to comply with any listed rules can result in a 30-day title suspension, at minimum.

I understand that should I: - Be expelled or suspended (internally or externally) from school for any reason - Be involved in any unlawful conduct at school or involved in a domestic or community dispute of a violent nature - Continually miss appearance opportunities - Become pregnant or married - Or fail to comply with any of the listed above rules: that my title will be revoked, and I will be required to return my crown, sash, and prizes, to the Miss Lake Placid Pageant Director.
